Pollinator Initiative

Pollinators are vital to ecosystems and the agricultural economy, but unfortunately they are in decline as a result of habitat loss.

The CCCD's Cheshire County Pollinator Initiative serves to address this ongoing problem in a number of ways:

  • Through the establishment of 20 pollinator habitats installations across the county

  • Through vigorous public education and outreach campaigns to share innovative methodology of habitat creation and the results of pollinator abundance and diversity monitoring

  • Through the development of a technical guide on establishment techniques for agricultural producers and technical service providers
