Jessica Zuzack joined NRCS in June 2016 as a Program Assistant serving Cheshire, Sullivan, and Grafton counties. Jessica grew up in rural Pennsylvania and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sustainability at Philadelphia University. After working in the health insurance field for a short time, Jessica’s interest in local food systems and community development led her to take a job as the Food Security Programs Coordinator for a small Colorado non-profit through the AmeriCorps VISTA program. Afterwards, she traveled to Costa Rica to assist the Monteverde Institute in expanding the capacities of their on-site composting, garden, and kitchen facilities. Jessica is grateful for this opportunity through NRCS to learn about and contribute to natural resource conservation in all its forms. In her free time, Jessica enjoys gardening, anything outdoors, DIY projects, and swing and salsa dancing.
